A short story with few candid pics from a Clair and Alex winter wedding at Kinnitty Castle in Co, Offaly. Newlyweds came for the Irish winter wedding all the way from Australia.
Alex: ''We used Mario, it was my mother in law who found him online. I’m not really sure what the motivations for hiring Mario were, but I can undoubtedly say he is an incredible photographer. He’s the kind of guy that just knows what's going to look good in a photo, and he strives to get those real magical shots even if it means he has to go out of his way to “create” the moments. We love our photo’s and the memories associated with them. The sun sets early that time of year in Ireland and Mario 100% made the most of it for us.''

Wedding moments from Eibhlin and Andy wedding at Huntington Castle and Gardens in Co. Carlow, Ireland. This wedding was also published by WeddingDates website in Ireland and UK. They took interview from newlyweds and thats what they said about photography:
What was your favourite thing about your wedding photographer? How did you find the process working with them?
After the venue, the photographer was the absolutely most essential part of our day. We looked at over 100 photographers and their work and again nothing really spoke to us until we happened across Mario Vaitkus. We didn’t want traditional wedding portraits because we are far from traditional people. We wanted the day to be fun and have everyone involved and in that vein, we wanted a person who was going to capture that spirit. We have both been to weddings where the photographer is bossy and doesn’t really listen to what the bride and groom wants but can be rather pushy. That was not the case with Mario. From the first time we met him, we just knew the fit was right. He was fun and relaxed and really understood what we wanted from the day. He offered great suggestions and really helped us capture everything we wanted from the day. The feedback from our guests was that they really enjoyed his company too. He was never there in your face, but still managed to portray all the magic. He went with the flow and didn’t try to force any poses or anything we didn’t want on us.
Few pictures form a wedding I captured last summer.
Gerard and Stephen Wedding in the heart of Dublin City. Ceremony took place at a spectacular place at City Hall and reception at The Stephen's Green Hibernian Club.
"Hiring Mario as photographer was one of the easiest and best decisions we made in organizing our wedding. He offered a truly superb service, from his attention to detail to his ability to catch moments organically and effortlessly. For us, one of the highlights was how he was able to share and enjoy the fun with the guests to make everybody feel at ease and in doing so, really capture the essence of the day. Wedding plans can be difficult and time consuming but for photography, Mario makes the decision an easy one."

Traditional Pakistani wedding in Sligo, Ireland. Asian wedding photography
...and a day before there was a Henna ( Mehndi ) ceremony. It's a Pakistani tradition. The henna is symbolically placed on the bride's and groom's hands. The groom's friends and family bring along sweets and henna for the bride, and the bride's family does the same for the groom.
Zara and David wedding day at ''Avon Ri Blessington Lakeshore'' in Co.Wicklow, Ireland. It was really memorable and special wedding, not only for newlyweds, but also for guests and me. Do you know Vikings? Yes, them Vikings you see on TV series, so I've got them on pictures, how cool is that?!
But first, few wedding pictures...
And then, some fun and creativity began...
Sometimes wedding images goes really spontaneously, like this one with a cock.
And then, I had a chance to put a little set up with few actors from Vikings and my beautiful newlywed couple David and Zara . At same time, as wedding, TV series ''Vikings'' were filming their new episode for new season. I was lucky, that filming crew participated and posed for few photos with my bride and groom :) Big thanks, to you to Vikings!
I also had a chance to get few interviews:
Ian Ulcer - actor, TV series Vikings:
''It was a great laugh doing this after a hard day of naval battles on the lake. We'll gladly point our axes at anyone who wants us to :) ''
Jasper Kearns - actor, TV series Vikings:
''Yes we had fun Doing this shoot, best wedding Day Photos ever haha, we came along & everything came to light, to the rescue again'so ...''
And last two, documentary:
Vikings filming at Blessington lake and of course one pic with myself and Vikings trying to kill me.
"Just Us" that's how we can name the bridal photoshoot of the new wedings, made in the heart of vibrant Dublin City. No bridesmaids, no best man, no guests...only the happy couple surrounded by thousands of friendly smiling strangers, greeting them on their Love Day; only the newlyweds environed with archaic buildings, cosy pubs, cafes and restaurants of Dublin's old town. Two blisfull people, Amanda and Gary enjoyed their Wedding day being relaxed and mellowed, so here is the result - natural and candid images from that very special day.
Precious moments should never fade...
''...we both agreed that walking through the city with Mario for the photo shoot was so much fun and the warm and receptive reactions of people is something we will never forget,” Amanda.
